He clamped onto the front brakes too fast. You have to allow a few milliseconds to LOAD the suspension onto the wheel in order to have enough traction to utilize the maximum braking traction. In know because I did the exact same thing after changing my brake fluid. I ended up with a broken collarbone and a frozen shoulder, which is still a little stiff after 8 months. Ride safe. Peace.
