I think a lot of …
I think a lot of people have missed the idea behind HD. HD has been through this before and they came out on top. Someone talked about the 48 being pricy, has anyone seen the price of Hondas new Fury? What abou the price of other starter bikes?
Now, I think the 48 is a cool bike, I have a sporty and I love it. When the time is right, I will also buy a bigger bike for longer trips. The Sporty wasnt made for cross country rides.

I absolutely agree. …
I absolutely agree. If you want new clients, there is no better way than to capture them on the entry-level. AND you may even have the geezers cashing in on a second bike. Volume in the market vs. cash in the till? I wonder if Victory has any plans for targeting this facet of the Market?

I own a Heritage. …
I own a Heritage. My wife owned a 1200 Sportster. I used to ride that Sportster and enjoyed how that baby would lay into the turns. It was like flying. Then I jumped on my Heritage and tried the same thing. A whole lotta scrapin’ goin’ on! Sporties are flat fun. But I DO agree that I wouldn’t last for the long haul on one.

I guess it is a …
I guess it is a good bike for a beginner rider but as anyone knows you will want a bigger bike in about a week after riding this one.

The way I see it, …
The way I see it, Harley got greedy with all the new mid-life crisis sales since the evo’s. Then they realized they wouldn’t be able to maintain these record numbers/market crashed so they dumped Buell and started marketing to well, me. Nightster, Iron 883, forty-eight. See original comment again and I’m sorry for the douche bag comment. What I meant was more the week end warriors. You don’t have to agree with me, that’s fine, It’s just one man’s opinion of where HD’s at. Let’s be friends.

I’ve been riding …
I’ve been riding harleys all my life, new and old,VERY old.I have a ’71 shovelhead now and love it. I don’t need a harley to prove I’m badass,I don’t even want to be badass.I’m not even saying Sportsters are chick bikes, because they are not.And the fact that Buell went belly up has to do with Buell, not H-D…..

What’s risky duane, …
What’s risky duane, is stagnating when you’re company has has been putting out the same boring product since the eighties. Buell is the only interesting thing they were doing. Did you ever ride a Harley when they were unacceptable or just when you got your EVO and hello kitty tattoo to show the guys at the country club how bad you were?
