May 7, on a 4 lane highway, while riding in the right lane, a driver in the left lane fell asleep, drifted into the median, woke up, and over corrected, slamming into me at 68-70mph. Both me and the bike went flipping into the air, and I landed in the ditch, with 4 broken toes, road rash covering my entire stomach, a chunk of my right knee missing, and my left heel had the skin pulled off, along with various other scrapes and bruises. The bike is totaled, after 2 months of riding, and the guys insurance barely paid it off. It will be several months before I can walk or ride again, and I will have to wear a custom shoe, but rest assured I will be back on a bike! Ride safe everyone, and keep an eye on all the drivers out there.

Years ago, I had a woman do the very same thing as what happened to you only she was signalling to turn left (In a left lane) and as I passed her on the right side she decided to turn right instead!
No warning, no anything…Still had her left signal light on…LOL
I had a passenger, and we both bounced off her and wound up in the weeds (Uninjured for the most part)
The best part was…She didn’t even stop to see if we were ok! (Figures)

One woman decided she was going to pass me (And the car in front of me) on a windy hwy in a pickup truck by using the shoulder of the road!!!
